An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, per an official announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This event does not mark the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has encountered equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to return to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
